This weekend the EFR Master Study Board for Urban, Port & Transport Economics (UPT) organized a city trip to Hamburg. During the weekend, they had the opportunity to visit multiple alumni. The weekend started off with a company presentation by the CEO of Hapag-Lloyd and alumnus of the Erasmus School of Economics, Rolf Habben Jansen, graduated in 1991. After a company introduction, the students got plenty opportunity to discuss the sustainability goals of Hapag-Lloyd and learned more on how the Ukraine crisis impacts the container logistics sector. It was very interesting for the students to hear how Hapag-Lloyd handles contemporary issues.
On Saturday, the students got to meet alumni during a drink. Alumni living near Hamburg were invited to get to know the students and tell them more about how studying at Erasmus School of Economics has impacted their life and shared some local knowledge about Hamburg. Some of the alumni even joint the students for dinner afterwards.
