Job Swank reappointed by the Crown as board member Dutch Central Bank

Job Swank, a part-time professor of Economic Policy at Erasmus School of Economics, will serve a second seven-year term as Executive Director within the Governing Board of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). Swank became Executive Director of Monetary Affairs and Financial Stability at DNB in December 2011. He is responsible for economic policy and research, financial stability, financial markets, payments and statistics.

Before joining the Governing Board, he previously held various management positions at DNB, including at the Department of Economic and Monetary Policy, which he joined as an economist in 1987. He was Director of the Economic Policy and Research Division from 2006 until 2011. Besides his positions at DNB and Erasmus School of Economics, Swank is also a Crown-appointed member of the Social and Economic Council of the Netherlands.

Job Swank studied Economics in Rotterdam and obtained a doctorate in Economics at the VU University Amsterdam in 1994.
