Frans Muller has been the top executive of Ahold Delhaize for over a year now. He wants to grow with the company, but also wants take responsibility by stimulating healthy foods and tackling plastic pollution.
Frans Muller studied business economics in Rotterdam and started his career at the freight branch of KLM. After ten years he switched from aviation to retail and fulfilled several management positions before joining the board of directors of Makro. Muller became top executive of the Belgian supermarket chain Delhaize in 2013, and led the incorporation of Delhaize and Ahold after their merger. He became top executive of Ahold Delhaize on 1 July, 2018.
