With effect from 24 June 2019 and for a term of three months, Frank Van der Duijn Schouten is temporarily serving as Interim Dean of Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC). He combines this position with his interim deanship at Erasmus School of Economics.
No later than 1 September 2019, Van der Duijn Schouten hopes to formulate recommendations to the Executive Board regarding advisable follow-up measures for ESHCC. His appointment follows on the decision of the Executive Board on Friday 21 June, to withdraw the merger plan for ESHCC and Erasmus School of Social and Behavioral Studies.
Last February, Frank van der Duijn Schouten succeeded Professor Philip Hans Franses, who was Dean of Erasmus School of Economics for more than 12 years. During the period of his appointment of one and a half years, Van der Duijn Schouten’s main role is to pave the road for a permanent dean for Erasmus School of Economics.
