The wish list worth € 170 million that the Eindhoven region has submitted to the Cabinet meets with criticism. The plan to keep technical talent in the region contains a lot of advertising and lacks substantiation, according to critics.
According to Frank van Oort, Professor of Urban and Regional Economics at Erasmus School of Economics, the arguments for investing the money in Eindhoven and not in other regions with similar problems aren’t very convincing.
