Changes in copyright law affects digital learning environments

From June 2021, an amendment to the Dutch copyright law entered into force so that classroom use also includes the digital learning environment.

Copyrights are a common aspect of academic education and research. Lecturers, researchers, and students regularly use works by others in teaching materials, scientific articles, or theses. Those works are usually subject to copyright. In case you use work created by others you must make sure that you will adhere to the rules of copyright.
