Benoît Crutzen new Director of Graduate Studies at Tinbergen Institute

Benoît Crutzen of Erasmus School of Economics becomes the next Director of Graduate Studies of Tinbergen Institute. In the coming months, Dr Crutzen transitions into this position alongside the outgoing director, Dr Andreas Pick.

Tinbergen Institute, its fellows, students, and alumni are grateful to Andreas for his work in the past five years. His efforts at strengthening the quality of the incoming class, improving the matching of students and PhD supervisors, and streamlining the curriculum have solidified the position of Tinbergen Institute as one of the premier economic research institutes in Europe.

About Benoît Crutzen 

Benoît Crutzen, who has been Doctoral Director of Erasmus School of Economics since 2015, holds a B.A. from Bocconi University, an MPhil in economics from Oxford University, and a PhD in economics and statistics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He is an applied theorist, and his main field of research is political economics. His research interests currently lie at the frontier of economics and political science in understanding the organisation and role of political parties.
