Alumnus Larissa van Boxem wins Marketing Thesis Award

Larissa van Boxem, an alumnus of Erasmus School of Economics, has won the Marketing Thesis Award with her 2022 master thesis. 

During a festive event on 29 November 2023, a jury of marketing professionals evaluated the presentations of the nominees from the specialisations Marketing (Erasmus School of Economics) and Marketing Management (Rotterdam School of Management). They decided on Larissa’s thesis as being the most impressive marketing thesis of the year. In addition to the honorable title, Larissa also received a symbolic cheque worth 500 euros.

Larissa van Boxem first graduated Cum Laude in 2021, with a master’s degree in Economics and Business, specialisation: Data Science & Marketing Analytics. A year later, in 2022, she obtained a second master’s degree, this time in the specialisation: Marketing. In that same year Larissa also started her professional career, first as a refinery analyst and currently as physical operator at Vitol, a multinational energy and commodity trading company.

The Erasmus Marketing Thesis Awards is an event that is organised by MAEUR, the study association for marketing students at both Erasmus School of Economics (master Marketing and master Data Science & Marketing Analytics) and Rotterdam School of Management (master Marketing Management).
