It has been a while since the NVAO panel visited us to assess our bachelor and master programmes, but we are very pleased to inform you that we received positive decisions from NVAO to extend the accreditation of our three bachelor’s and four master's programmes.
On 3 and 4 November 2022, an external assessment of our three initial bachelor and four initial master programmes took place, to request reaccreditations for all seven programmes. Many lecturers, students and alumni participated in panel conversations during those two days. Based on the positive judgement of the NVAO approved panel, the NVAO decided recently to extend the accreditation for our bachelor and master programmes.
This positive verdict applies to the BSc and MSc in Economics, BSc and MSc in Econometrics, BSc and MSc Fiscale Economie and the MSc AAC. This means that we can continue to issue recognized bachelor's and master's degrees for these programmes for at least the next six years, until the new accreditation round.
The panel also provided advice for each programme in their panel reports of March 2023. Recommendations include for example to be more sensitive towards intercultural differences between students and lecturers, to better align the course descriptions in the course guide with the content of the syllabuses on Canvas, and advice on the social perspective of economics in the bachelor Economics and Business Economics.
Based on all panel recommendations, a plan of action has been drafted, in consultation with programme managers and the programme committees.
