7 Erasmus School of Economics alumni in the Dutch Parliament

Currently, there are seven Erasmus School of Economics alumni member of the Dutch parliament (eerste en tweede kamer). In total, there are 25 Erasmus University alumni in the Dutch parliament. Three of the Economics Alumni are representing the VVD (People's party for freedom and democracy), one is representing the 50 plus party, one speaks for the party for the animals (PvdD), one is representing the Socialist's Party (SP) and one is independent. 

For the VVD are alumni Roald van der Linde, Anne Mulder and Martin Worsdorfer in place. After his studies, Van der Linde started to work for the VVD and the Dutch Ministry of Finance. Anne Mulder specialized his studies on Policy economics and started his career at the Dutch Ministry of Finance as well. Worfsdorfer studied Fiscal economics and worked in the tax department of Deloitte.

The 50plus party is represented by alumni Martin van Rooijen. Van Rooijen studied Fiscal economics and worked at Shell before. Niko Koffeman represents the party for the animals and worked as  teacher in economics before. He has also been active for several animal protection organisations. Geert Reuten is active for the Socialist's Party and teaches economics at the University of Amsterdam. Furthermore, he is an international recognised Marx-expert. Henk ten Hoeve is independent in the Eerste Kamer and worked as teacher and "conrector" in a high school before.
