Ivo Arnold will give a lecture on 2 February. Ivo is professor of Economics at Erasmus School of Economics. In his lecture, Ivo will apply the IS-MB-GA model to monetary policy in the euro area. The aim of the lecture is to bring the model to life with applications to recent events.
Questions to be discussed
- Does the IS-MP-GA model offers a good characterization of the monetary policy of the ECB?
- Can the model help us to understand recent ECB policy?
- Can we use the model to understand the effect of inflation differences across the monetary union?
- Can we use the model to understand financial crises and fragmentation risk?
