Erasmus School of Economics has created a separate fund to support excellent current ESE bachelor students. This scholarship concerns a partial tuition fee waiver. Current students who are awarded this waiver will not directly receive a sum of money themselves.
This waiver is not applicable to prospective ESE bachelor students and prospective or current ESE pre-master or master students.
Requirements
To qualify for financial support under the provision of an individual waiver for excellent students from non-EEA countries, an applicant:
- Must be a national of a country that is not part of the European Economic Area (EEA).
- Must request the waiver for bachelor 2 or 3 (or bachelor 4, applicable to BSc2 students only)*.
- Must have achieved excellent study results during block 1, 2 and 3 of the current academic year. This means an average grade of at least 8.0.
- Must be able to demonstrate the reason why this single reduction on tuition fee will enlarge their opportunity to continue studying at Erasmus School of Economics by including a detailed financial statement, in which it is explained how the applicant is going to support him/herself for the remaining tuition fee and the living expenses (estimated € 900 per month).
- Must be enrolled no later than 1 September of the academic year for which the fee waiver is being requested.
*Note: if you do not receive a positive BSA in bachelor 1, you will not be entitled to a waiver for the subsequent study years.
Terms and conditions
Applicants granted this tuition fee waiver should be aware that the waiver applies to only one academic year. You may re-apply for the waiver in the following years of your studies, even if you did not receive the tuition fee waiver prior.
The number of applications each year exceeds the number of available waivers. No rights can therefore be derived when the above-mentioned minimum application criteria are met.
To be able to provide as many applicants as possible with a partial waiver, only 1 type of waiver will be awarded to 1 applicant. This means you may apply for multiple waivers; however, a combination of multiple waivers will not be awarded.
Erasmus School of Economics reserves the right to withdraw the offer for the waiver for excellent current ESE bachelor students from non-EEA countries if the applicant fails to comply with the terms and conditions.
Amount and payment
This scholarship concerns a partial tuition fee waiver. Applicants who are awarded this waiver will therefore not themselves directly receive a sum of money. The tuition fee waiver for 2025-2026 is €4.600,-.
