Step 4: Submit your application in EUR Application Portal

Upon successful registration in Studielink, you will receive a message including a personal link to enter the EUR Application Portal. You can log in to the portal by filling in your ERNA ID and password. In the portal, you can pay the handling fee*, upload your application documents and finally, submit your application. After successfully submitting your application in the Portal, you will receive a confirmation email at the email account you used for creating your Studielink account. If you do not receive this email, please contact Erasmus School of Economics on 0031.10.408.1380.

Deadline to submit your application in the EUR Application Portal is 1 April** / 1 May 2025. This means that the final day to complete the application procedure for non-EEA students is 31 March 2025 and for all other students this is 30 April 2025. After this deadline, the EUR Application Portal is closed, and you no longer have the possibility to complete your application to any international bachelor programme offered by Erasmus School of Economics.

We strongly recommend students not to wait until the last week of the admissions season to submit their application. Due to the high number of applications, it is likely that when you apply a few days before the deadline, you will only receive feedback on your application in (mid-) June. Additionally, it is wise to apply early for practical reasons such as student housing. However, apply only when you have all the mandatory documents ready.

*Students seeking admission on basis of a Dutch VWO or Dutch HBO Propaedeutic diploma and students with a refugee status with support from the UAF are exempted from paying the fee.

** The 1 April deadline applies to students who apply with a non-EEA passport and therefore require a Dutch residence permit, as this process takes a little more time. For more information on residence permits and the related requirements, please visit our immigration website.

What happens next?

Within a maximum of six weeks after receiving your online application, Erasmus School of Economics will inform you about the outcome of the selection decision. We appreciate your patience on this matter. Below you can find more information about the selection procedure.

All admissible candidates are subject to selection by the Selection Committee. Please be aware that being admissible does not guarantee a place in the Double Bachelor BSc2 programme.

Once you have been selected for a place in the Double Bachelor BSc2 programme, you will have to take care of finalising your enrolment at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Please use Studielink to see which things are left to complete your registration. Most common things on your to do list will be handing in your (final) certified documents as well as paying the tuition fee.

Applicants with a nationality from outside the EEA can only start their studies with a student visa and/or student residence permit. You will have to apply for such a visa and/or residence permit via Erasmus University Rotterdam. This procedure takes place between 1 April and 10 July 2025. You will be informed about the required documents and corresponding costs from April onwards. More information can already be found on the immigration website.

If you are currently living abroad, you will need accommodation in Rotterdam. The Erasmus University Rotterdam does not arrange accommodation for all new students, but we do connect you with housing providers in the area of Rotterdam which accommodate international students. More information on how to get accommodation can be found on this website. The majority of the housing organisations in Rotterdam start their registration period by 1 April and work on a first-come first-serve basis. It is very wise to arrange these matters on time.
