How to reach “hard-to-reach” groups for research

Lybrich Wieringa

Have you ever faced challenges in trying to reach specific groups of people in your research? For example, how do you contact migrant elderly in Rotterdam or people from rural China, or how do you best recruit Dutch participants as an international researcher? Then join our event where you can meet fellow researchers, students and Rotterdammers where we will discuss these, and more concrete questions on how to reach “hard-to-reach” groups for research.

Structure of the day

The event is there to give EUR employees, students and Rotterdammers the opportunity to discuss and learn how we can best ensure all relevant voices are heard in research. The afternoon will start off with parallel sessions, in which several researchers will share their experiences on including hard-to-reach groups in research. Then we will move onto a plenary discussion with researchers and Rotterdammers, in which they can exchange their experiences with each other.

Check the event's page here for more information and registration.
