Annex: structure of medical logbook.

A. Prevention/management health and other risks

Awareness of increased risks/health problems

Awareness of increased risks/health problems; take into account the GDPR. Prospective members must be clear why they are providing information, they must give explicit permission, and the information must not be kept for longer than necessary for the purpose.

Medical aspects:

  • the medical responsibilities are clearly allocated
  • limited deployability of ‘medics’
  • status separate ‘medics’
  • contact medics in relation to non-medics
  • First-Aid/Tips courses
  • maintaining ‘medical logbook’ and analysis of findings. This is the basis for the critical reflection that establishes which complaints and circumstances require changes in the introduction period 2018 or in the future

Accessibility of medical provisions:

  • 24 hours
  • unforeseen emergency and other situations
  • familiarity with (alternative) routes
  • doctor availability in Rotterdam

Food and drink:

  • Awareness of/provisions for diets
  • Health aspects of food (quantity, quality)
  • Availability of enough drinking water

Hygiene:

  • food/drink

  • special circumstances

Clothing:

  • appropriate for various (extreme) circumstances, in particular appropriate for crawling, etc

B. Management of physical/psychological pressure

Sleep:

  • minimum requirements: 6.5 hours

  • Letter Executive Board of 15 March 2017
  • Background: binding study advice applies to all EUR study programmes and the Executive Board notifies the clubs annually that the education of new members may not be impeded by club activities (primacy of education).
