Background information
These scholarships are a provided by CONACyT, the Mexican National Council for Science & Technology. It provides both PhD and MSc scholarships for Mexican citizens intending to pursue a PhD degree at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
The scholarship is once a year
- PhD scholarship covers 1090 USD/month living allowance plus 715 USD/year for health insurance
- Last call: April 5th – June 11th, 2021. Next call expected April-June 2022
- Online application at the website of CONACyT, after the candidate has a Letter of Acceptance, signed by his/her School’s representative (given on request by the candidate’s future supervisor, not on request by the candidate him/herself)
Procedure - CONACyT-Scholarship for PhDs
- Candidates must apply for a position at the relevant Erasmus School and comply to the school’s specific admission criteria (see below). This can be done before the opening of the call (it is advised to do so since the interview & selection process may also take some time)
- Successful candidates must ask their Erasmus professor for a Letter of Acceptance
- Candidates must comply to LPDPs criteria [link]
- Candidates must submit a scholarship proposal online
