Housing platforms and agencies

A sight of Rotterdam with the famous cube houses

Most of our international students find housing on the private market, where a wide variety of rooms and apartments are available. Some websites act as intermediaries for private individuals or landlords, while others are registered housing agencies or associations.

To get you started in your search for a room or apartment, refer to the list below. Not all websites offer English-language options. To make it easier, we’ve provided a glossary of common housing terms to help you navigate and evaluate listings. Please note: some websites may charge a fee for registration or services.

Important: Erasmus University Rotterdam does not act as an intermediary between students and private accommodation providers in Rotterdam. While we strive to provide helpful information on our website to support your housing search, students are ultimately responsible for exercising caution when securing accommodation. The university has no control over third-party platforms and cannot be held accountable for any scams or issues arising from private market arrangements. For tips on how to avoid getting scammed, please read the legal section on this website carefully.

Admitted EUR students also have access to the Goin app which has an active housing community of students looking for and offering housing options. Check you student email or MyEUR to join this community.

Staying with a host or guest family will provide you with a soft landing in town and is the perfect way to get in touch with the Dutch culture and language. You’ll have your own private room and shared facilities like a kitchen and bathroom. Hospi Housing has a big network of verified hosts and guest families.
