If you plan to register for a non-beginners Dutch, English or Spanish language course, you will first need to do an intake to determine your level.
Do you already have some knowledge of one of the above mentioned languages and would you like to participate in a language course? Do you not exactly know what your level is or how to prove it? Please sign up for an intake. You do not need to do an intake if:
- You wish to register for a beginner’s course;
- You are currently enrolled in a LTC course and you wish to register for the following level;
- You have previously done an intake test or language assessment (less than a year ago);
- You have an official statement from the LTC (not older than one year) naming the appropriate starting level.
An intake is compulsory in all other cases.
- A Dutch intake consists of a short, oral test (conversation with a teacher). This short, oral intake is designed to determine your course advice. After the test, an email telling you for which course you can enrol, will be sent to you. This intake is free of charge. If you need a level statement, you need to do a language assessment.
More information can be found on the webpage: Dutch intake.
- An English intake costs € 85,- and consists of an oral test of 15 minutes with a teacher, a written test of 45 minutes and a Quick Placement Test (QPT). After taking the test, you will receive a level statement that contains information about your current level, as well as course advice. More information can be found on the webpage: English intake.
