Content, form and time investment

For example, you will become (more) aware of unconscious bias and its possible impact on yourself and your interaction with students. You will also be stimulated to reflect on your own social identities. In addition, we will provide you with strategies for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. Think about inclusive language and activities to encourage positive conversations about diversity. Finally, you will be introduced to the various intercultural competencies that contribute to intercultural communication.

You start with an online preparation in Canvas, in which you are already introduced to some important concepts, and you are encouraged to reflect on your own experiences. During the workshop session (3 hours) you will work on this further.
