A number of the lecture halls at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) are equipped with facilities for people with a hearing impairment, including hearing loops. This facility amplifies the sound from the lecture hall through your hearing aid.
A number of lecture rooms at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) are equipped with facilities for students who are hearing impaired. Lecture halls CB-01, CB-05 in Theil Building and part of the Aula (Auditorium) in Erasmus Building have got a loop system for the deaf and hard of hearing. Please see the floorplan Aula / Auditorium for the exact location of the loop system.
Your hearing aid does need to have what is called a T switch, which allows your hearing aid to receive the amplified lecture.
If you would like to know more about studying at EUR with an impairment, please contact the Erasmus Student Service Centre. For more information about hearing impairment, see www.nvvs.nl [in Dutch].
