Mat Halsall

Biography

Mat is currently the non-executive director and Global Business Strategist at Group Sopex, as well as being the program leader for Liverpool Business School Commodity Trading Hub.  He is a member of the ICE Futures Europe, Authorisation, Rules and Conduct (ARC) committee. 

Mat has an extensive background in commodities trading, having held significant roles at prominent firms such as BTG Pactual in the United States, as the Head of Sugar Trading, and COFCO International in Switzerland, where he was the Global Head of Corn Trading. 

Mat holds an MSc in International Banking and Finance from Liverpool John Moores University in the UK.
