Albert Veenstra
Biography
Albert is a professor in Trade and Logistics at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. He has worked both in academia as a professor and manager, and in the public sector as a director and senior consultant involved in innovation projects in transport, logistics, and trade.
He has been involved in a number of international and European projects on customs compliance in global supply chains, developing and testing solutions for full supply chain visibility, customs compliance, and end-to-end responsibility.
Albert has published on international transportation, logistics, supply chain management, and customs compliance in books and scientific journals. His current research interests are in the field of customs and trade compliance, the impact of new EU regulations, such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and deforestation regulation, and topics related to ocean shipping.
