Biography
Julie Hoppenbrouwers is a PhD candidate at the Erasmus School of Law, department Law and Markets. Her research focuses on disruptive technologies in the legal profession. She is a participant of the Sectorplan SSH-breed ‘The Influence of Digitalisation on Work, Prosperity and Entrepreneurship’ where she works on topics at the intersection of legal theory, philosophy and technology, primarily related to the digitalization of the legal profession. Before joining Erasmus University, she worked as an associate at Human Rights Watch. She completed her bachelor’s degrees in law and in philosophy at Utrecht University and holds an LL.M. degree from King’s College London (Transnational law).
