Last week was the yearly Week of the International Student, a celebration of internationalization in education and how we all benefit from it. The WotIS is always organized in the week around 17 November: International Students’ Day and was initiated by Nuffic (Dutch National Agency for Internationalization in Education). At Erasmus University Rotterdam, the International Office organised several events in honour of this week.

Kick-start Your Career in the Netherlands | 20-11-2024
This event provided our international students with inspiration and support to find a job or to start a business in the Netherlands after graduation. The lineup of speakers included Martijn Croon (RVO), Luuk van der Vaart (comedian), Nikola Janouskova (career advisor), and Liesje Goldschmidt (Erasmus Enterprise). Additionally, an alumni panel discussion consisting of successful EUR graduates shared their stories and insights.
Connecting Cultures Festival | 21-11-2024
During the Connecting Cultures Festival we celebrated the diversity of cultures at our university. The festival featured a food fair, a photo exhibition, diverse workshops and a theatre show. It was a day full of smiling faces, good food, dance, arts & crafts, and music from around the globe.
The Connecting Cultures Festival was a collaboration between Studium Generale, the International Office, 25 International and Cultural Student Associations along with all talented performing students.
And now, we look forward to the next edition in November 2025!
