Professor Frank van der Duijn Schouten reappointed interim dean Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC)

The Executive Board of Erasmus University Rotterdam has extended the appointment of Professor Frank van der Duijn Schouten as interim dean of Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC) for another year until 1 October 2020.  The ESHCC faculty council, which was heard by the Board, has responded positively.

Extending his appointment guarantees continuity and enables Professor Van der Duijn Schouten to further continue his work for the benefit of the faculty. The Executive Board is therefore delighted that Frank van der Duijn Schouten will his work as interim dean and looks forward with confidence to the partnership.

About Frank van der Duijn Schouten
Frank van der Duijn Schouten (1949), emeritus professor of mathematical decision theory, studied mathematics, physics and astronomy at VU Amsterdam. He obtained his PhD from Leiden University in 1979. During his academic career, he has had numerous executive positions in the academic world. He spent nine years as rector magnificus at Tilburg University and was rector magnificus of the VU from 2013 to 2015. Besides ESHCC, he is also interim dean at Erasmus School of Economics.
