Eliminating racial discrimination to live up to our Erasmian values

March 21 marks the 61st anniversary of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. This year encourages youth to continue their support & challenges all communities to eliminate racial discrimination.

Last years protests against systemic racism saw youth worldwide coming together & standing up against racism, shining a light on longstanding racial inequities that sadly persist in our societies.

This year's Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination encourages youth to continue their support & challenges all communities to eliminate racial discrimination. We know that our student community strive to live up to this ideal every day and we salute their efforts.

Nonetheless, it is incumbent on our entire community to continue the fight for greater respect, tolerance, and solidarity for all; this is through our individual actions towards each other and the research and education we pursue.

We at EUR are enriched by the diversity of perspectives, experiences & lived realities of our students, staff & families that make up our community. Without our community and our collective energy to promote inclusion and equity for all, we cannot live up to our Erasmian values nor the societal impact we strive to make.

Consequently, we reaffirm our steadfast commitment to eliminating racial inequities and speaking for equal rights for all.
