On Friday 1 November, M.T.A. Sadiq will defend the doctoral thesis titled: Hybrid Pathways to Societal Impact: Challenges and opportunities

Below is a brief summary of the dissertation:

This dissertation explores hybrid organizations—those that blend business, government, and societal goals—and their potential to address the pressing challenges of today's world. While the idea of hybrid organizations is gaining importance, how they create value for society is still not fully understood. The research provides new insights by proposing a clearer way to categorize these organizations and examines how they deal with challenges in different contexts, particularly in urban economies. It also brings together ideas from different fields to create a new model for understanding how hybrid organizations can thrive and make a positive impact. The findings offer practical recommendations for leaders and policymakers to help these organizations succeed and contribute to a more sustainable future.
