Het Miljoenennota Gesprek

Economy in times of populism and war
Building with water in front of it

As society becomes increasingly polarised and politics have shifted to the right, the housing crisis and the number of people living below the poverty line remain pressing issues. Meanwhile, Europe is making significant investments in defense due to the war in Ukraine. The challenges are immense—how will the new government address them? What will we see reflected in the governmental budget? What can we expect from public finances in politically challenging times?
