After five months, the final of the 2nd Erasmus University Challenge is finally here on 21 September! In the months prior, participants have been doing all kinds of things to spark the entrepreneurship in themselves through various workshops.
Entrepreneurship, building skills, scaling and investing. These are just a few terms around which the Erasmus University Challenge revolves. The competition is the entry ticket to becoming an entrepreneur and starting your own company and is all about robust chains, energy transition and making societal impact. The participants' enterprises (to be started) therefore have a sustainable approach.
In the months prior, participants have attended several workshops. From idea validation & VR inspiration to workshops on prototyping and how to pitch an idea and get funding.
The final
During the finals, the participating students compete against each other. They will pitch their idea in one of three categories (ideation, prototyping or start-ups) in front of an expert jury. The jury consists of entrepreneurs Roderick de la Houssaye and Matthijs van Doorn of the Port of Rotterdam. Chairman of the jury is the President of the Executive Board Ed Brinksma.
Through this challenge, Erasmus University Rotterdam wants to encourage entrepreneurship, among students, entrepreneurs and academics from inside and outside Rotterdam. Will we see you at the finals?
