Professor Debra Satz (Stanford) will receive an honorary doctorate the afternoon of November 8, 2018 on the occasion of the 105th birthday (“Dies Natalis”). Before the ceremony, students and alumni are invited for a lunch reception with Professor Satz.

Debra Satz has contributed widely to ethics, social and political philosophy, feminist philosophy and philosophy of economics. Many students and alumni of Erasmus University have engaged with her work, in courses, through writing theses on her work, and reading her articles and books, notably “Why some things should not be for sale: The moral limits of markets” (Oxford University Press, 2010).
On November 8, 2018 at 12.00 there will be a lunch reception in the Erasmus Paviljoen (in the Serre) with Debra Satz for students and alumni of Erasmus University. Please include the form below to register, as places are limited!
