As you will have seen by now in your mailbox, on 11 October it is time for the first ESHPM Alumni Homecoming Day! During this afternoon, you are welcome to return to Campus Woudestein for an afternoon full of recognition but also innovations.
The afternoon will be opened by our Director of Education, Lucas Goossens, after which the founders of the faculty, our ‘founding fathers’, will be interviewed by the former President of study association SHARE. We are already curious to hear their stories about the early days of ESHPM (previously iBMG and SAG).
To have something for everyone, there are two rounds where you can choose from different sessions. For example, in the first round there are mini-lectures on ‘Alternative payment systems for healthcare providers: rationale and feasibility in the Netherlands’ and ‘Age-friendly communities and well-being realisation among older native and immigrant populations in the Netherlands’ , as well as a workshop on Energy Management.
During the break there will be time to recover from all the impressions, but it will also be possible to see a bit more of the campus anno 2024. Our study association SHARE will provide a tour of the campus from the student perspective: what is new and where does this generation of ESHPM students visit most often?
The second round includes mini-lectures on ‘Reimbursement of New Cancer Drugs: Challenges for Healthcare Accessibility and Affordability’ and ‘The Region as Place of Care - Rethinking Long-term Care in the Regional Setting’, as well as a speed dating session led by ESHPM alumna Demi Jongejan. In short, there is plenty to do.
We will end the afternoon with an informal drinks reception to reflect on all the new and hopefully familiar impressions of the day.
