On the occasion of Professor Eddy Van Doorslaer’s farewell and his valedictory lecture at the Erasmus University, we would like to take advantage to not only look back at his 40 year career in health economics but also to look forward to scientific developments in health economics to be expected in the next few decades.
On 24 February, the very day that he will reach his 65th birthday and give his valedictory lecture, it will be preceded by a symposium organised by Erasmus Centre for Health Economics Rotterdam (EsCHER), Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM) and Erasmus School of Economics (ESE). On the programme are a few of the scholars with whom he has worked closely together throughout his career. Each speaker represents one of five periods in which Eddy’s career can be divided. You are cordially invited to attend the symposium.
