Project description
The National program for Elderly Care ran from 2008-2016, investing some 30 Million Euro in elderly care services research and quality improvement. Taking a 'democratic expertimentalism' perspective, in this project we evaluated how and to what extent the national program succeeded in improving client-centeredness, enhancing the knowledge base and creating a learning infrastructure in elderly care. We did so by focusing on the regional networks that were established by the program as well as the national infrastructure that was created to enable learning across networks. The evaluation used both ethnographic data and questionnaires and was a collaboration with researchers from Nivel.
