ESHPM is launching a MentorMe pilot from 18 March to 12 May 2024. During this two-month period, you have the unique opportunity to be one of the first ESHPM students, or recent graduates, to try out the new mentoring platform for alumni and students!
As an alumnus, you may remember your time at Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM) or institute of Health Policy & Management (iBMG) and how you experienced your career orientation process. How difficult it can sometimes be to figure out what you want to do, who to talk to, how to network and how to prepare for the job market. A little help from someone who was in your shoes would have been very helpful. You can be that changemaker by becoming a mentor!
If you are a student participating in the mentoring programme, you can discuss study choices, career choices and challenges with your mentor, drawing on the mentor's experience in a specific industry, working in different positions in business, or in international locations.
The mentors are ESHPM alumni who:
- Work in various industries and have different backgrounds
- Eager to share their knowledge, expertise and experiences with you
During the two-month pilot, you can:
- Discover how to identify your career needs
- Discover how to use MentorMe
- Determine which mentor suits you best
- Schedule your first online consultation with a mentor
- Feedback on your experience with MentorMe
As a facilitator of personal and professional growth, you can help students boost their self-confidence, advise on career planning and develop their skills. It will also help you strengthen your interpersonal and management skills, connect with potential applicants and gain new and fresh insights into your own field of work.

MentorMe is an online platform that connects students and alumni for unique tailored career and/or academic advice. Alumni mentors are there to help you succeed; both at Erasmus University Rotterdam and beyond. You can get in touch with alumni whose education, interests and career path closely match yours.

Are you looking for tailored career advice and want to expand your professional network? Then join the ESHPM MentorMe pilot and apply!
- Register as a student by completing the registration form below.
- After registering the web form below, you will receive an invitation to create an account on the MentorMe platform.
- Make sure your profile is complete by 18 March - the start date of the MentorMe pilot.
- You are encouraged to schedule at least 1 online consultation with an alumni mentor via the MentorMe platform between 18 March and 12 May. Of course, you can continue to use MentorMe after this period.
Participation as an alumnus
Are you ready to share your knowledge and career experiences with current students and build your own network?
- Register as an alumni mentor by completing the application form below.
- After registering as a mentor, you will receive an invitation to create an account on the MentorMe platform.
- You can use your LinkedIn account to complete your profile, or add all the information manually. In your MentorMe account, you can indicate what kind of advice you are willing to give.
- The actual pilot will run for 2 months and start on 18 March 2024: make sure your profile is ready before this date.
- From 18 March, students can send you a request for an online calling appointment.
- We ask you to schedule 2-3 calls with students during the pilot. Keep your availability up-to-date on the MentorMe platform: this will help students to book consultations only at times when you are available.
