Business Processes, Logistics & Information Systems
The Business Processes, Logistics and Information Systems research group is dedicated to leading advancements in logistics, supply chain management, and the integration of business operations, information, and technology innovation. The programme focuses on three key themes:
- Logistics and supply chain optimisation
- Operations and innovation management
- Next-generation information systems
Organisation
The Organisation programme aims to develop and test fundamental theories in applied organisational research, addressing topics from the micro to the macro level of analysis. The programme focuses on two primary areas of research:
- Organisational Behaviour
- Value-Based Organising
These centres, while distinct, actively seek interdisciplinary research opportunities.
Marketing
The Marketing programme explores both managerial and consumer decision-making processes, with a mission to contribute to the body of marketing knowledge in a scientifically rigorous and practically relevant way. The three primary themes of the programme are:
- Consumer behaviour
- Marketing management and strategy
- Marketing modelling
Finance & Accounting
The Finance and Accounting programme aims to enhance understanding of financial decision-making by firms, managers, market participants, and the functioning of financial markets and intermediaries. It strives for high-quality scientific contributions across key areas of finance and accounting, with three broad themes:
- Asset pricing
- Corporate finance
- Accounting
Strategy & Entrepreneurship
The Strategy & Entrepreneurship programme is designed to help promising PhD candidates develop high-impact research in strategic management and entrepreneurship. The programme combines in-depth understanding of core strategy topics, mastery of research methods and skills, and hands-on training for publishing impactful research. PhD candidates are immersed in a highly collaborative, cutting-edge research environment.
Each year, we admit around three internally funded and several externally funded PhD candidates, who engage in doctoral courses, joint papers, and presentations at conferences and workshops. We welcome excellent candidates from diverse backgrounds, seeking those with strong research orientation, demonstrated through an intriguing master’s thesis or research article.
