After you have completed Step 2, you will receive a series of emails from EUR. Ensure to check your spam folder, as they might be flagged by your email server. Regularly monitor the details page of your application in Studielink and watch for any announcements. Don't worry if you don't receive emails from EUR immediately after completing Step 2; it may take several days for them to arrive.

•    Email 1: 'New student number'
In this email, you will find your student number, which you will need for all communications with EUR/EUC. Keep your student number secure!

•    Email 2: 'Enrolment application sent to institution'
This email confirms that you have applied for the Liberal Arts & Sciences Bachelor programme at EUC. Please review to ensure all details are correct.

•    Email 3: 'ERNA-account details' ('ERNA-accountgegevens')
This important email contains your ERNA username and password, which you will use to access EUR's digital systems.

•    Email 4: 'Application to EUC: thank you for starting your application!'
This email is crucial and includes the link to the Admissions Portal of EUR. We will discuss what to do next in the following step.

Keep your student number, ERNA username, and password secure, as these will be essential throughout the application process and during your time at EUC.

Click on the link provided in Email 4.

This will direct you to the Admissions Portal, where you will need to log in using the username and password provided in Email 3. Click on 'View/edit' to proceed with the remaining steps. After clicking 'Continue,' you will be prompted to provide additional information and upload your documents. Once you have finished uploading all required documents, remember to click 'Submit application' to finalize your application.

All students applying for a bachelor's programme with a non-Dutch diploma are also required to pay a non-refundable application fee of €100. In the Admissions Portal, you will be asked to complete the application fee. Only after a successful payment, you can you proceed with your application. Applications without payment will not be considered.

  • Email 5: 'Application to EUC: confirmation of receipt'

Once you have completed all steps in the Admissions Portal and submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your application.

Starting from that moment, the Admissions Team will begin evaluating your application. If you applied by the regular application deadline, you can expect to hear from us by 15 February. For those who applied by the late application deadline, we will provide notification by 31 May. It's important to note that applications can be submitted at any time before or between the deadlines. We strongly advise submitting your application as early as possible.

Once you have successfully completed the written part of the selection procedure, we will invite you for an online interview, providing us with the opportunity to ensure our mutual expectations align. During the interview, expect questions related to your motivation letter. Be prepared to ask any questions you may have.

Following the interview, the Admissions Team will communicate their decision to you. This decision will fall into one of three categories:

  • You receive an offer of admission.
  • You are placed on the waiting list.
  • You are not admitted.

Respond to your offer:

Upon receiving your offer, you will also receive our Offer Reply Form. This form is essential for securing your place at EUC. It's important to respond to your offer by the communicated deadline to confirm your attendance.

Finalize immigration procedure (if applicable):

If applicable to your case, you will need to finalise the immigration procedure.

Book your room in Lucia:

After you have been selected and once you have accepted our offer to enrol at EUC we will contact you with the details on how to book your room. It's important to complete the housing process by the communicated deadline to confirm your housing spot. In case of special circumstances, you can also request a waiver to be exempt from the mandatory housing requirement.

Pay your tuition fees:

After accepting the offer, one of the next steps is paying your tuition fees. Please note that tuition fees must be paid before the start of the academic year. Failure to do so by the specified deadline will result in non-enrollment. You will receive a notification from Studielink regarding when and how to pay the tuition fees.

Submit certified copies of your diploma and final grade list (excluding VWO applicants):

We require certified copies of your diploma and final grade list for verification purposes. A certified copy is a hard copy of your diploma or final grade list stamped and signed by your secondary school. IB applicants can request to have their results sent digitally. Please ensure you have these certified copies ready to send promptly. Failure to submit them before the start of the academic year will result in non-enrollment.

One of the first things you might wonder is when you can really start being an EUC student. This will be in the week prior to the start of the academic year: the Introduction Week at EUC. Keep a close eye on your email for more updates regarding the Introduction Week. We look forward to seeing you then!

The EUC Admissions Board evaluates an applicant’s motivation and formal entry requirements to study Liberal Arts & Sciences at EUC to ensure that the applicant’s expectations match the programme on offer. All departments/disciplines are represented on the Admissions Board. Together with the Admissions Officers, the members of the Admissions Board are responsible for admitting candidates to EUC. In case of an objection sent to the Admissions Board within four weeks after receiving the decision of the selection procedure, the Chair of the Admissions Board will look into the matter and answer appellant with a funded decision in writing, within four weeks after receiving the objection. These decisions are binding. In case of an appeal against a decision, the appeal should be sent to EUR Student Arbitration Committee (Geschillen Adviescommissie Studenten) including the decision of the Chair of the Admissions Board. Appeals related to (also non-) Admissions topics will be dealt with according to the Dutch General Administrative Law Act (Algemene Wet Bestuursrecht).
