Amnesty International Student Group Rotterdam is currently looking for candidates for new board members of 2018/2019!
Amnesty International Student Group is a young student association based at Erasmus University Rotterdam and we provide a platform for students to learn more and actively participate in the fight against human rights violations. We do this by organising student activities, lectures, field trips, public events and more.
Have you always wanted to do something for this world? Do you want to fight for human rights? Do you want to organize events such as the Write for Rights campaign, Human Rights Dialogues and assembling a team to walk during the Night of the Refugee? Are you an ambitious student and are you interested in personal development, working together and guiding committees? If so, then we are looking for you!
As a board member of AISR you will gain a lot of experience and fulfilment in one year. Apply now for a board membership at AISR, where you will be able to raise awareness concerning human rights and human rights violations and contribute to ending these violations!

The following positions are available:
President
As the president you are responsible for the effective action of the board and act as representative of the board. Our ideal president oversees the bigger picture of AISR and is good at motivating and supporting the whole team and organisation.
Secretary
As the secretary you will develop agendas for meetings and you are the one who minutes all the board meetings. Our ideal secretary stays in touch with the members and is fluent in English speaking and writing.
Treasurer
As the treasurer you are responsible for the board’s financial side. Our ideal treasurer is accurate, has some experience in managing databases, bookkeeping/accounting and knows how to use Excel.
Internal Relations officer
As the Internal Relations officer you are responsible for all the committees and ensure that every committee is informed about upcoming events. You are also the contact person for all the members.
External Relations officer
As the External Relations officer you are responsible for all contact outside of the association and also for arranging collaborations. Our ideal candidate takes initiative to arrange collaborations with other persons/associations. You will also support the board where needed.
