Key Facts of this Post-Master
Admission requirements
The English Post-Master Program Register-accountant (RA) is a Post-Master program. This means that a University Master of Science is a prerequisite.
We advise you to hold a MSc degree in Accounting, Auditing & Control from the Erasmus School of Economics (specialization Accounting and Auditing) or a MSc degree in Accounting & Financial Management from the Rotterdam School of Management (Accountancy track).
You can also start the program with other MSc degrees, but you will then probably have to do some additional courses. If you hold a foreign degree, you should obtain a credential evaluation by Nuffic.
Admission application
By means of an admission application, we will draw up a personal study program for you. In this program we will clearly state which additional courses apply to you based on your previous education. This is completely free of charge and without obligation.
The nominal study duration for the theoretical English Post-Master Program Registeraccountant (RA) is 3 years (excluding any identified additional courses).
The Post-Master program consists of the following modules:
- Dutch Private and Corporate Law (DPCL)
- Dutch Tax Law (DTL)
- Corporate Reporting for Auditors (CRA)
- Bookkeeping (BK)
- Internal Control & Accounting Information Systems (ICAIS)
- Accounting and Business Ethics (ABE)
- Financial Auditing (FA)
You can enroll in April and September. The moment of entry determines the order in which you follow the modules.
The lectures take place on Fridays in the period from April to June and from September to December.
After completing the program, you will receive a diploma. Twice a year we organize a festive graduation ceremony in which we present you with your diploma.
To become a registeraccountant, a practical program is mandatory in addition to the theoretical program. This practical program takes a nominal 3 years and runs - in principle - parallel to the theoretical program. For more information on the practical program, we refer to the website of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants (NBA).
