Jacco van Sterkenburg to present for British sports media professionals in London

Jacco van Sterkenburg is set to give a presentation on the 8th of October in London at the ‘D Word 3’ conference about the diversity in sports media. He will do this in front of approximately 270 media professionals of the (British) TV-channels, papers, sports unions, academics and students.

The conference presented by The Black Collective of Media in Sports (BCOMS) will discuss ways to increase diversity in UK sports media, journalism and broadcasting, and will bring together journalists, students, academics, diversity experts and others to discuss a pathway to greater diversity and inclusivity in the industry.

The theme of the conference is ‘The Future’ where the debate will focus on how to have a more diverse sports media and how to improve the quality of journalism and broadcasting across the industry.

Jacco will present with BCOMS’ founder Leon Mann, and will hit on many points that were also discussed in his recently honored Vidi project about sports media.
