Dr. Mijke Slot, ERMeCC member and lecturer in the Department of Media and Communication, has won the Education Prize this year. She will receive the award on Monday, August 31st.
Every year, Erasmus University presents a number of awards to researchers, students and members of staff in acknowledgement of exceptional achievements during the Opening of the Academic Year.
The Education Prize is intended for researchers who have made a particularly positive contribution to education at Erasmus University. The prize will be presented to Dr. Mijke Slot during the Opening of the Academic Year on August 31st.
According to the jury, Slot has an ability to really connect with students as a teacher, as well as being an enthusiastic lecturer who is actively involved in new innovations in education, including the first MOOCs organised by Erasmus University.
