On April 5th 2018, dr. Elisabeth Timmermans was a guest speaker in a radio interview with BNR Nieuwsradio called Ask me anything. Together with journalist Gijs van der Sanden she explained the world of mobile dating apps. Topics discussed were ghosting, profit models, the image of Tinder, ego boosting, fake profiles and differences between men and women in Tinder usage.
Dr. Elisabeth Timmermans studies mobile dating and the concept of "Love in times of Tinder." Her main research questions are why only 60% of dating app users actually decide to meet up in person and how such dates go.
