De rector magnificus van de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam maakt bekend dat Dr. A. (Arthur) van Riel
benoemd tot bijzonder hoogleraar bij Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication, vanwege de Stichting Erasmus Trustfonds, met de leeropdracht Historische Politieke Economie op vrijdag 24 januari 2025 zijn ambt in het openbaar zal aanvaarden met het uitspreken van een rede, die de titel draagt: De welvaartsstaat als verwachtingspatroon Over houdbaarheid en historische politieke economie
