Since the 1990s, popular music has found its place in higher music institutes across Europe, including numerous programs in Dutch conservatoires. Now, we invite you to explore what lies ahead for this dynamic field.
This symposium will bring together scientists, educators, musicians, and directors specializing in popular music to discuss its evolving role in higher education. We’ll delve into various perspectives on what popular music represents in academic settings, examine the current status of these programs within institutions, and highlight the unique benefits they offer for building successful careers.
