Are you looking for an exchange at Erasmus MC? This page will help you get in contact with our departments.
Due to the high demand from students seeking internships at Erasmus MC, we are currently only accepting applications from universities that already have established partnerships with Erasmus MC.
If your home university has signed a Memorandum of Understanding or a bilateral agreement with Erasmus MC (for instance, within the framework of the EUR Erasmus+ program), we will try our best to find a placement in one of the departments. Please note that your university needs to contact us first and nominate you officially.
Electives
Clinical Electives
If you wish to do a clinical elective, you will need to have completed at least four years of medical training.
Internships can last up to a maximum of 4 weeks per department, with a maximum of two departments per student. Placement is always subject to availability in the departments.
Take into consideration that you will need to arrive at least five days prior to the start of your elective. A mandatory MRSA test will need to be done here at our institute. External MRSA tests will not be accepted.
Most departments have a Dutch language requirement (C1 level). If you do not speak Dutch, you will not be able to find an exchange at one of these departments of Erasmus MC. See a list of departments below.
Research Electives
Students in the field of Health Sciences, Medicine, Biology or any other life science program are welcome to apply for a research elective at Erasmus MC if they have completed at least three years of their university training. A research project at the M.Sc. level will take at least six months and fluency in English IELTS (CEFR C1) is required. Erasmus MC funding is not available. See a list of departments below.
