The participation at Erasmus School of Economics comprises the School Council and four Programme Committees. As required by law, half of the members of the participation bodies are staff members and half are students.
School Council
The School Council discusses the general running affairs of the school with the Dean. The Dean informs the School Council about any policies that Erasmus School of Economics carries out, as well as policy proposals that concern teaching & research, and policy proposals in the field of finances and organisation. Alongside its general advisory role, the School Council has a specific approval competency with respect to determining and modifying the School Regulations and part of the Teaching and Examinations Regulations.
Programme Committees
The Dean sets up a Programme Committee for each initial programme or group of programmes within the School. The Programme Committee is authorised to consult with and advise the programme director on everything concerning the programme. In several important decisions taken by the programme management, such as the approval of the teaching and examination regulations, the Programme Committee has participation rights. The main task of the Programme Committee is to monitor the quality of the study programmes.
