Biography
Rianne Warsen is Assistant Professor Public Management at the department of Public Administration and Sociology (DPAS) at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
As assistant professor I teach various courses on bachelor and maser level, including courses in the Dutch master track 'Publiek Management' and the international master track 'Urban Governance'.
In my research, my focus in mainly on public-private partnerships, with a specific interest in the interplay between contractual and relational aspects in inter-organizational collaboration, trust, and public sector performance.
During my PhD I was involved in the project 'Governance for smartening public private partnerships' within the NWO Smart Governance programme. This project focuses on smart governance solutions that are employed by public, private and societal actors to fulfil their new roles in governance structures, such as public-private partnerships. The research aims to provide knowledge on what incentives allow these actors to enhance the performance of public private partnerships and help them to realize the potential of these collaborative practices.
Before doing a PhD at the Erasmus University, I have obtained a Master's degree in Public Administration from Utrecht University and Research Master's degree in Public Administration and Organizational Science, a joint master programme from Utrecht University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Tilburg University and VU University.
