Biography
Isaac Corro Ramos was born in Sevilla, Spain, on March 24th, 1977. He obtained his Master’s degree in Mathematics (option Statistics and Operations Research) from the University of Sevilla in June 2001. Between June 2001 and July 2005 Isaac had several jobs in different working areas and countries. He worked as a high-school Mathematics teacher in Sevilla (Spain), as a software programmer in Madrid (Spain) and Vienna (Austria), and as a researcher in Rome (Italy). In July 2005 he started his Ph.D. at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Eindhoven University of Technology working on the STRESS (Statistical Testing and Reliability Estimation of Software Systems) project. He defended his thesis on December 15, 2009.
Since August 2009 Isaac works as a scientific researcher at the Institute for Medical Technology Assessment (iMTA) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Since he enrolled iMTA he has worked in several research projects whose subjects include probabilistic modelling, cost-effectiveness analysis of health care technologies, value of information analysis and discrete event simulation.
