Biography
I am a researcher at the Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, where I have an appointment at the institute for Medical Technology Assessment (iMTA) since 1997. My main interests are in the measurement of individual and social preferences for informing health care decision-making. This includes both preferences for the quality of life in different health states and preferences regarding equity in the distribution of health. I am working on a dissertation on the subject of the integration of equity concerns into the framework of economic evaluations. I currently teach undergraduate courses in quality of life research.
