Biography
Brechtje van Zeijts is a PhD-candidate in Educational Psychology at the Department of Psychology, Education, and Child Studies (DPECS) at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. She completed her bachelor in Psychology and the master Psychology of Human Learning and Performance at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research is focused on reading comprehension and reading motivation in primary school. She studies the similarities and differences between comprehension of text and video. Moreover, she examines whether other media, such as audio and video, can be used to practice comprehension strategies. Hereby it is aimed to improve both reading comprehension outcomes and motivation.
