Biography
Annemieke Leunis (1986) studied Health, Policy and Management at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. She obtained her master’s degree in Health, Economics, Policy and Law in 2008 with the specialization Health Economics. After her graduation, Annemieke started working as a researcher at the institute for Medical Technology Assessment (iMTA). She is currently involved in cost-effectiveness analysis of new diagnostic technologies in an early phase of the development process. These new diagnostic technologies use genetic information to guide treatment decisions for patients with acute myeloid leukemia. In addition, she has performed some methodological research regarding the estimation of utilities for a cancer-specific questionnaire. Annemieke is also active in teaching and coordinating of the minor ‘The future of health: new medical technologies’ in the Bachelor programme.
